Mosaic Foods Reviewed: Menu, Taste, & Prices

Mosaic Foods has lots of menu choices each week including:

• 26 Veggie Bowls
• 13 Family Meals
• 7 Pizzas
• 4 Vegan Soups
• 4 Oat Bowls

Their Veggie Bowls contain a range of pasta, tofu, rice, and beans to support a wide selection of vegetables. One thing we loved was the selection of options with everything from bok choy to pumpkin to edamame.

The family meals have four servings each and are all casseroles of vegetarian versions of old style comfort food like this pot pie below. They all cook in the oven for about 40-60 minutes so it really feels like something you ate as a kid.

Their pizzas are made with a broccoli or cauliflower crust, and their pretty good, but they are a pretty small for two servings – about 6 inches in diameter. This is more of a pizza for one in our view.

Mosaic Foods is a plant based meal delivery so their vegetarian meals are a given, but they also offer vegan, gluten free, and low calorie options.

There is filtering to find the vegan and gluten free options, but it’s easy to miss, so we’ve shown you what to look for below.

Once opened, we see filters for low calorie, high protein, vegan, wheat free, soy free, nut free, and no added sugar.

They have a huge selection of different types of foods including noodle bowls, soup, smoothies from Splendid Spoon, pizzas, and oat bowls.

Mosaic says they use all non-gmo ingredients in their meals. And, their ingredients are basic, easy to see and read on the label.

We are a bit disappointed there are no organic ingredients used in Mosaic meals, especially when it comes to the dirty dozen, and this may be a deal breaker for some.

Where Mosaic Foods shines is in their Veggie bowls with pasta or rice. These were our favorites on taste, and we felt full afterwards.

They also have some extra types of meals that are a little outside the normal meals including oat bowls, pizza, and family meals serving four people. It’s nice to have a little variety.

We liked all of these alright, but they weren’t our faves.

Mosaic Foods meals are relatively inexpensive with their family meals being a super deal. I don’t think I’ve found already prepared meals at the $5.99/serving anywhere else!

Mosaic offers a discount the more meals you buy. You save $10 in shipping once you go from the minimum of 6 meals to 12. And, you save an additional $10 plus free shipping when you order 18 meals.

The packaging at Mosaic Foods is fairly limited so you don’t have a lot of extra to recycle.

The ClimaCell interior keeps your meals frozen along with a few bags of dry ice that disappear with time, and one piece of paper packaging to keep everything from shuffling around in transit.

All of their meal trays are recyclable and BPA-free.

Customer service at Mosaic makes it easy to order, skip weeks, choose a different schedule, and cancel if needed.
