I wish Factor Meals would offer non-GMO, organic ingredients with better quality grass-fed, pasture-raised meats and poultry, and wild-caught seafood.

But, they have added cage free, antibiotic-free chicken breast and you will occasionally see organic cauliflower or wild-caught shrimp every now and again. So, you can tell they are making an effort to improve their ingredients, but it’s not guaranteed, consistent quality.

We both loved the taste of Factor’s Meals! For a health conscious meal delivery company, it had some of the best recipes and universally liked meals.

The meals had plenty of flavor, but without being spicy. Factor is great if you want to eat healthy foods without it tasting healthy. 🙂 OK, that didn’t come off right, but hopefully you get what I mean. They sneak the healthy version of everything in there so you may think you’re eating mashed potatoes but its really parsnips. You taste comfort food without knowing its healthier.

The other thing about Factor meal delivery service my husband liked was you could tell you were eating a generous portion of meat. Sometimes the protein gets cut up and hidden in other meal delivery companies, but not with Factor! You can see from the photos above, there is a good amount of chicken, pork, or steak in each meal.

Factor Prices & Coupons

Packaging & Recycling

factor meals packaging

While Factor isn’t the most environmentally conscious with their packaging, they have made attempts to make all their packaging recyclable.

The food is packaged in 100% BPA-free plastic containers, but they are not vacuum sealed. They have a thin on top, so they don’t last in the fridge or freezer as their vacuum sealed competitors.

Gel packs are non-toxic and reusable. They are filled with 99% salt water and 1% sodium polyacrylate. If you want to dispose of them, do not put down the drain or toilet to avoid clogging your pipes. Instead you can empty them into the trash, which is a bit of a mess to be honest.

The box insulation (both cotton and brown paper) is made from 100% recycled materials.

I would definitely recommend Factor Meals to anyone looking for tasty prepared meal delivery service. Factor is best for those on a keto diet plan. While they do have other options, the dietary options are few.

What we liked:

  • Fresh, prepared meals

  • Moderate prices

What we didn’t like:

  • Ingredients aren’t reliably organic, grass-fed, cage-free

  • Not many options for plant based diets

    1. Most meal companies, including Factor, do not give sample meals. You can always try their smallest box as a sample.

    2. Do not waste your money. I tried a week of 6 meals, only like one. IMO cheap old Banquet frozen meals are better and much cheaper

  1. Factor is the worst meal delivery service . If you try it , good luck trying to cancel the subscription . They have a ridiculous “cut-off” time for cancellations . They will keep charging your credit card even if you have canceled your account. The meals are really awful , inedible . I wouldn’t feed this junk to my dogs .

I ordered Factor meals two weeks ago. They were to be delivered Tuesday, 26 July 2022, and they have NOT been delivered! What happened???

  3. We have just started using Factor, so far ,so good. We also tried FlexPro, which was pretty bad. Factor meals, we have only found a couple of meals we don’t like. Our meals came on time, and I held one week in order to try the FlexPro, and it was not sent. So as I said ,we shall see

  4. I thought Factor looked interesting, but I had to create an account to actually see the choices. By setting up the account, it actually forced me to place an order. I didn’t like the choices, so I cancelled my account within minutes, thinking I had cancelled the order and the account. Turns out, the order got placed and I received an unwanted delivery today. I called Factor to voice my disappointment with the enrollment and to make sure that I would not receive any further meals. The Agent told me I should have read the fine print, because if I had, I would have known that I would get the meals even though I cancelled the account within minutes of the original setup. It is of course my own fault….but I doubt whether I am the first customer to fall victim of this issue. Oh well. But rest assured, based on my discussion with the Agent I spoke with, I will never be a customer…

    1. Same thing happened to me. While I Did actually like the food, I had to freeze them as No Way could I eat them all before the, went bad. Freezing did cut back on the taste experience. If I could see what would be available I might consider reinrolling, but not blindly

Thank you. I had to call my bank over an order from another sight. I like to see what they have up front. This is why I did not go any farther. joe ann

  5. We have been using factor now for about a month and we love it. Meals so far have been great. It’s just the 2 of us and after working a long day, fixing dinner is not always what I want to do. Dinner is made, no real cleaup, and no wasted food. Our grocery and eating out expenses have dropped considerably. Portions are just perfect for us. And we don’t do full weeks, so we do some cooking in between so we don’t get tired of it. Really think and decide why you want a service before you sign up. We did and we are very happy.

  6. do you have any meals that are low in soduim or a list of how many calories, sugar and sodium available

Factor does not have a low sodium specific meal plan, but each meal has an easy-to-read nutrition label. The label includes details on calorie, sugar, sodium, and more.
Simply click the meal from the weekly menu to view the nutrition facts before choosing your meals for the week.

  7. NEVER order Factor. Horrific customer service. Charged me for a week that I had cancelled. They didn’t care that I was going to be out of town. Buyer beware.
